THE FENCE
I hop the fence,
and notice the ground seems dryer here.
Maybe I was supposed to come here,
to brighten up this land,
and bring the things on it life
by offering them water.
To lift the drooping flowers
so they may see the sunlight once more
and remember there is still
so much to live for.
As I travel this uneven and rocky ground
I can start to see that this
was meant for me to find.
Jumping the fence to the unknown was the only way to find it,
A way to spread His glory.
Though I am unsure of my surroundings,
I keep faithful.
This place has beauty,
Though it has been through droughts,
It is beautiful because
The lord made it
It simply needs Him.
